Bamboo in Wentorf bei Hamburg

The buffet was more than maui, at 7 p.m. we had a table and almost all the dishes in the buffet were empty. Only some dishes were refilled rather poorly than quite well. In the end we were swept out shortly before 9 p.m. This restaurant will never see us again.

Nice ambience. We came for buffet dinner. Plenty of choices: meat, vege, cakes, fruits, ice creams, sweets. There are cooked dishes and raw meat / seafood as well, where you can choose how it should be cooked. We tried the Mongolian style and also fried with garlic, both are delicious! We're happy with our dinner, even though not 100% authentic Asian food but definitely much tastier than the other Asian fast food restaurants. Will definitely come back.

Very large selection and also very fresh! The staff was very friendly and the dishes were always cleared away quickly. One star deduction because it took a little longer to get your fresh food from the grill even though it wasn't really full. The price was commensurate with the quality. We would come again.

Was there for the first time after the renovation. Furnishing: good, finally something more modern and brighter. The food (all-you-can-eat): The quality of the meat has seriously deteriorated. E.g. beef, completely covered with tendons, fibrous, hardly edible - not even useful for goulash. Everything from the "Life-Buffet": seared to death, clean shoe sole (probably because the meat is half-frozen draped and prepared there). Sometimes it is also very greasy. In addition to a metal clip in the food, the food in the warming stations is limp. Caution should be given to the plates. Some of these are old and should be replaced here and there; broken off from below and very sharp-edged, so that you can easily cut your fingers. The only positive thing is that you can grab some exotic things. When asked to replenish some commercially available types of meat, even on a Sunday at 7 p.m., the sign was given that there would be no further replenishment. Even though the buffet is open until 10 p.m. The communication with the waitress, who can hardly be understood at all, becomes a real test of patience. For this they try to be friendly until you confront them with criticism and try to downplay them. The communication problem does the rest. If you want to eat ice cream and jelly in large quantities, you are in good hands here for the price.

Everything including sanitary facilities clean and tidy. Just don't let the plate go back full (even if it was inedible as we did); because then the cook gives a very unfriendly one to twelve! For me as a restaurateur an absolute no-go. Much of the food only appears to have opened the can or bag (biscuits and fruit). The ice cream was not topped up for a long time. I've eaten the finished meal better in the China snack bar next door. So with the prices (peppered) absolutely not to be recommended. It's a shame that Wandsbek (China Star) is closed (due to renovation) because there you get good service and good and varied food. Disappointed Bamboo!

The hygiene concept is good, it would be great if it were implemented. To eat: The sushi was warm and not chilled, there was a "skin" on the sauces and on the containers. In general, one thought of some dishes that they were not fresh, but older, which was also the case with some dishes in terms of taste! The note to the staff was ignored by this smiling! On the whole: The food wasn't even worth half. To charge 17.50 euros for it is a cheek!

Delicious as always. We had a Mongolian buffet 6 days earlier in another restaurant and not nearly as tasty. And as always, very friendly.

17 euro for one person and enjoy big variety of asian food

With 17.50 € for the meal not the cheapest shop. Sushi is delicious and the duck is also very good. There were also many exotic meats like zebra, frog, crocodile and kangaroo. Eating could be a little warmer. The restaurant was very busy and loud but still clean.
